The scalable compute power of the cloud has placed Machine Learning in the spotlight of what’s now possible with Big Data. The evolution of cloud computing — with readily accessible and ever-increasing pools of resources such seemingly endless affordable cloud storage — has opened the door to new possibilities that would have been impossible both financially and technically to most individuals and companies just a few years ago.
But computer processors and technology only represent part of the picture. Human beings are still necessary ingredients when applying machine learning, specifically in the domain of training algorithms. Not everyone is suited to serve as a trainer, which means serious professionals must be careful who they put in charge of this critical task.
